I was drawn to midwifery through my passion for health and belief that pregnancy and birth are natural yet profound experiences in the lives of families which deserve to be honoured, respected and celebrated.
My education includes an Honours Bachelor of Sciences degree in Physiology from McGill University in 2007 and a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Midwifery from McMaster University in 2011.
Throughout my experience as a midwife I have developed a commitment to an integrative philosophy of care informed by both evidence-based research and a holistic approach to midwifery practice. I feel incredibly humbled and blessed to be a midwife and I look forward to working with you to make your experience of pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood a positive one!
I have had the opportunity to live in a number of communities in Saskatchewan, Alberta, the Yukon, Quebec, and Ontario. I love being able to call beautiful Victoria home.
When I am not busy catching babies I can be found hiking, gardening, reading, baking, doing yoga or enjoying time with my amazing family. I have a passion for teaching as an instructor for Advanced Labour and Risk Management and Neonatal Resuscitation. Additionally I hold a position with Island Health supporting the transition to an electronic health record.
I look forward to being a part of your childbearing experience!
