Midwifery Care

Midwifery Care is covered under Medical Services Plan (MSP or Care Card) so there is no charge to you if you have active MSP coverage. You can self refer to midwives if you are pregnant, simply fill out an online intake from.

Midwives are primary care providers who care for people during their pregnancy, birth and for the first six weeks postpartum (after the baby is born). You come to our clinic for visits throughout the pregnancy which become closer as the birth approaches. We provide clinical and supportive care during the birth and immediately following. We visit you at home and hospital for the first week after the baby is born and you attend our clinic with your newborn for check ups until your baby is six weeks old. We work closely with other practitioners and refer to our obstetrical and paediatric colleagues if needed during the process. Midwives can arrange ultrasounds and blood work and prescribe most medications that could be needed while you are having a baby.
